We're located on the western outskirts of South Bend, Indiana in a little town called Lydick. Lydick 'downtown' is a four way stop.
Our 30 acre farm is only minutes from our church in 'downtown' Lydick. We're surrounded by a mint farm to the south, corn and soybean farm to our west and a cattle operation to our north. Our 11 acre alfalfa field provides plenty of alfalfa hay for our cattle herd. We rotate our cattle between 5 different pastures, one of which is quite shady.
Our acre farm pond provides a great Spring home for Pierre and Gertrude, our annually returning Canadian goose family who nest on the pond's island as well as other assorted aquatic animals. Our 5 acres of woods is home to deer, turkey, skunks, raccoons, possums, squirrels, chipmunks, hawks, owls, rabbits and the occasional fox and coyote. We see hundreds of different varieties of songbirds throughout the year. Our blueberry patch is adjacent to our south pasture.
